DESCRIPTION:We are still taking registrations for the 2025 District 5030 Learning Symposium being held on Saturday\, April 19\, 2025\, from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center. This year’s theme\, Empowering Leaders to Enrich Communities\, promises to inspire and equip you with the tools and knowledge to elevate yours and your Rotary club’s experience. \nAct now! Registrations quickly filled up during January and this is your second chance to secure your spot. If you haven’t registered yet\, sign up immediately as we expect to reach capacity. \nAt the symposium\, you will have the opportunity to engage with thought leaders\, participate in dynamic breakout sessions\, and connect with like-minded Rotarians who share your passion for service and leadership. \nTo Register click: Register for the 2025 District Learning Symposium \nImportant Registration Notes: \n\nProgram: Attached to this email is an updated copy of the event pre-flight program with sessions listed. Read this first to get an idea of which breakout sessions you may want to attend and to help facilitate your registration. You can change these later\, but this just gives us an idea for room set up.\nRegistration: Individuals must register on their own; your Rotary club will not register for you. There is no registration cost for the Symposium\, and it is free to Rotary members.\nSecure Your Spot: Register early to secure your spot\, as we have a capacity cap due to facility constraints. Our 2024 event filled up quickly.\nRequired Grants Training: Please note that this Symposium will also be where the required annual Global Grants and Districts training will be provided. If your club intends to apply for global or district grants in the Rotary Year 2025-2026\, at least two individuals per club must attend the grants training.\nMeals: A continental breakfast will be provided\, but lunch will be on your own with food trucks available with food for purchase\, or you can opt to bring your own lunch.\nVolunteering: There is a volunteer section on the form\, and we kindly ask for your support to help on the day of the event.\nRegistration Timeline: Registration will close on April 13\, 2025. We must do this to allow sufficient time to prepare name badges and confirm quantities of food and beverages.\n\nWhat To Expect After Registering \n\nConfirmation: Once you register online\, you will be sent confirmation via calendar invite from tom@leonidasconsulting.com.\nFuture Emails: Rotarians in District 5030 will continue to receive emails to register with any updated information. If you have registered\, you can safely ignore the emails\, and you do not need to re-register.\nKnow Before You Go: Approximately three days prior to the event\, you will receive a ‘Know Before You Go’ email as a reminder and with important information.\n\nWe look forward to seeing you at the symposium and working together to strengthen our clubs and the Rotary Foundation. SUMMARY:The Big Taste
DESCRIPTION:University Sunrise Rotary is holding its 9th annual fundraising social called The Big Taste on April 19\, 2025 from 4-8 pm. We would love to welcome you to this fun event!\nThe Big Taste is a very apt description of the event. An average of 25 vendors offer tastes of Pacific Northwest wines\, beers\, spirits and ciders. Our club member Tom Ranken and his band play a host of fun tunes and several food trucks offer tempting treats for sale. All of this activity occurs in a former airplane hangar so there’s plenty of room for tasting and having fun. This could be an excellent opportunity to invite friends and make it a party!\nProceeds from The Big Taste go to Outdoors For All\, We Heart Seattle and our club Foundation.\nAs a civic addition\, Honorable Seattle City Council President\, Sara Nelson\, will be our special guest.\nMore information and tickets are available at:\nTickettomato.com/event/9074
