The countdown is officially on for our District 5030 Conference this April (16-19) in beautiful Walla Walla — and an incredible team is already hard at work creating a truly memorable experience for our Rotary family.
From logistics and programming to hospitality and special touches, this dedicated planning committee is thoughtfully designing a conference that will inspire, connect, and celebrate the impact we make across our district.
Our full conference planning team includes:
Alan Merry, Beverly Jacobson, Cathy Gibson, Christina Leonidas, Jeff Borek, Jim Pullin, Josh Sutton, Kaj Pedersen, Kate Matos, Paula Del Guidice, Tim Leahy, Jason Richert, Stacie Thorlakson, Ezra Teshome, Ann Liberato, Shari Storm, and Co-Leads Julie Shott and Tom Leonidas.
Recently, several members of the team traveled to Walla Walla to conduct venue walk-throughs, finalize catering (yes, we did a taste test!), and refine the overall attendee experience. The energy was contagious — and if the preparation is any indication, this conference will be something special.
We also had the pleasure of hosting a happy hour with the Presidents of the three Walla Walla Rotary Clubs in District 5080. They are excited to collaborate, exploring joining us and discussing a potential service project on Friday morning before the conference starts.
Attendees Can Look Forward To:
• Engaging speakers and meaningful breakout sessions
• An exclusive Rotary takeover of the Marcus Whitman Hotel (now fully booked!) Additional nearby lodging options are still available
• Fellowship and connection with Rotarians from across the district
• A golf day — register today
• On-site wine tasting and wine country experiences
• The charm, hospitality, and beauty of Walla Walla
Planning a district conference takes vision, coordination, creativity, and countless volunteer hours — and this team is delivering.
We currently have 265 paid attendees — our goal is 300! Help us spread the word and encourage your fellow club members to register, www.igniterotary2026.com/
