Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders: The 2025 Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp

Think back to your Rotary journey. Maybe it started when someone invited you to a meeting – a group of local business owners and community leaders looking to make a difference. Maybe it was through a volunteer event, where you met others doing good work for their local community. Maybe you were the recipient of assistance or recognition from a local Rotary club. For some the Rotary journey starts MUCH earlier.

This coming June 5-8, high school students from across the Pacific Northwest, from as far north as Vancouver Island, and as far south as Longview, WA, will join us at Camp Coleman for the 2025 Rotary Youth Leadership Award leadership development camp.

They will be challenged to think and act outside of their comfort zone using a challenge by choice curriculum developed by the volunteers of the RYLA Pacific Northwest program. Since 2021, the camp has been held at YMCA Camp Coleman, where students from across the region form small communities for the duration of the camp to work through mental and physical demonstrations of how leaders should think, act, and treat others.

It’s a wildly successful model, which takes experience from our leadership who has engaged other RYLA programs across the country to develop an impactful and inspiring program for the attending high schoolers. For more information, please reach out to us at www.rylanw.org, or your club’s RYLA Chair to nominate students your club would like to sponsor or to get more information about how you can help.
