The District 5030 Public Image Committee is pleased to welcome Stacie Thorlakson as its new Co-Chair. Stacie will be working alongside Committee Chair Chris Nakea and fellow committee members to elevate the district’s public image and strengthen Rotary’s presence in the community. With her extensive experience in public relations, business development, and multi-media marketing, she brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to this important role.
Stacie is no stranger to leadership within Rotary. As the founding President of the Eastside action rotary club (EARC), she played a pivotal role in chartering the club, demonstrating her commitment to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” Under her leadership, Eastside Action has already begun making an impact through innovative service projects and community engagement initiatives. The name “Eastside Action” reflects the club’s proactive approach in addressing local needs with dynamic solutions and a hands-on attitude.
Beyond her work in Rotary, Stacie has more than 20 years of executive experience in public relations, sponsorships, and fundraising events. Her ability to build relationships, secure funding, and develop marketing strategies has made her a highly respected advocate in the business community. She has successfully led teams of employees and volunteers, bringing people together to achieve positive and profitable results. Her expertise in strategic communication and branding will be invaluable in shaping the public image efforts for District 5030.
With Stacie joining as Co-Chair, the Public Image Committee is poised for a new level of impact, ensuring that Rotary’s work across the district is effectively communicated and celebrated. We look forward to the creativity, energy, and leadership she will bring to the committee.
