Ready, Set, Serve: Rotary Tools to Help You Shine

Letter from the Editor
By Chris Nakea, District 5030 Public Image Chair

Rotary is more than weekly meetings and service projects—it’s a global network of dedicated individuals with a shared purpose to serve, lead, and grow. And behind that mission is a powerful support system filled with resources designed to help each of us succeed. Whether you’re a club president, committee chair, or passionate member looking to do more, you are never alone in this journey.

Rotary International’s online hub—My.Rotary.org—is a treasure trove of tools and opportunities. From the Learning Center, where you can explore everything from grant writing to leadership training, to the Brand Center, which makes it easier than ever to align your club’s image with Rotary’s global identity—these tools are built to empower you. If you haven’t explored these features lately, I encourage you to log in and rediscover what’s available.

Closer to home, our District 5030 website (www.district5030.org) is continually evolving to better serve our clubs. We’ve created streamlined forms to submit your club news and events, and we’re committed to amplifying your efforts through district-wide newsletters, social media, and web presence. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to shine in your community and show the world what Rotary is doing locally.

And for those who want to truly deepen their impact, nothing beats face-to-face learning and connection. On Saturday, April 19, we’ll gather at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center for the District 5030 Learning Symposium—a full day designed to energize, educate, and inspire. With sessions on Fundraising, Global and District Grant Writing, Leadership, Public Image, Membership, Youth Services, and more, this event is tailor-made to give you the tools and insights to take your Rotary experience to the next level. Plus, it’s a rare opportunity to connect with fellow Rotarians across the District who are just as passionate about making a difference.

Let’s continue to lean into the resources we have, lift each other up, and move boldly toward the future. Together, we are building stronger clubs, more vibrant communities, and a more connected world.

In service and fellowship,
