Rotary Club of Duvall Celebrates its 20th Anniversary!

Celebrating Two Decades of Service: The Rotary Club of Duvall’s 20th Anniversary

Last night, Duvall Rotary club charter members, along with past and current members, gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of our club, reflecting on the impact and contributions of this vibrant community organization. Founded on the principles of service and fellowship, the Rotary Club has been a cornerstone in the Duvall community, fostering a spirit of cooperation and support that extends far beyond its local reach.

The Rotary Club of Duvall has consistently lived up to Rotary International’s motto of “Service Above Self,” dedicating countless hours and resources to initiatives that benefit both the local and global community. From providing scholarships to local students to supporting international efforts to eradicate polio, the club’s members have shown an unwavering commitment to making a difference.

One of the club’s most heartwarming campaigns is the “Duvall Has Heart” program, which decorates the town with personalized heart signs each February, spreading messages of love and solidarity. This initiative not only beautifies the community but also raises funds for various charitable causes, demonstrating the club’s creative approach to philanthropy.

The Rotary Club of Duvall also plays a significant role in local events, such as the Duvall Days and SummerStage, where they host Beer Gardens that serve as a hub for community gathering and celebration. These events are not just about raising funds; they’re about building a sense of community and belonging among the residents of Duvall and Carnation.

As the club enters its third decade, the focus remains on enhancing its contributions to the community. The club’s leadership, under the guidance of President Jerry Sprute, continues to uphold the high standards set by predecessors, ensuring that the club remains relevant and responsive to the needs of the community it serves.

The Rotary Club’s adherence to the “4-Way Test,” a guiding ethical principle, has been instrumental in maintaining integrity and trust within the community. This test challenges members to consider the truth, fairness, goodwill, and benefits of their actions, reflecting the club’s dedication to ethical service.

The 20th anniversary is not just a milestone but a launching pad for future endeavors. The Rotary Club of Duvall is poised to continue its legacy of service, embracing new challenges and opportunities with the same vigor and enthusiasm that have characterized its past achievements.

As we celebrate this significant anniversary, we invite the community to join in the festivities and to learn more about the Rotary Club’s work. Whether through attending a meeting, participating in a fundraiser, or simply spreading the word, there are numerous ways to support the club’s mission of service and fellowship.

Here’s to another 20 years of the Rotary Club of Duvall making a lasting impact and embodying the true spirit of community service.
