Rotary Club of Seattle (Seattle #4) Finalist Presentations, Recipient of $75,000 Large Local Grant Announced

Rotary Club of Seattle (Seattle #4) one of the larger and more influential Rotary Clubs in the world, recently convened at The Rainier Club to hear from three remarkable finalists for this year’s Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF) $75,000 Large Local Grant. The finalists—Operation Nightwatch, Uplift NW, and PDA/Third Avenue Project/We Deliver Care—each presented compelling cases for funding, highlighting their essential work supporting some of Seattle’s most vulnerable populations.

These organizations are at the forefront of addressing issues supporting the grant theme of The Vitality of Downtown Seattle:  Public Safety and The Drug Crisis often working together to maximize their impact. Each brings a unique yet complementary approach to improving lives:

  • Operation Nightwatch provides shelter, meals, and compassionate care to individuals experiencing homelessness, ensuring their safety and dignity.
  • Uplift NW empowers individuals facing economic hardship by offering job training and employment opportunities, creating pathways to stability.
  • PDA/Third Avenue Project/We Deliver Care engages in outreach and community-driven solutions to address the complex challenges of urban homelessness and public safety.

After a week-long voting period open to all members, Uplift Northwest was determined by popular vote as the recipient of this year’s Large Local Grant.

SRSF is committed to reinforcing the club’s commitment to high-impact, local philanthropy.

No matter the outcome, Seattle #4 continues to play a pivotal role in driving meaningful change in the community—one strategic investment at a time.
