Rotary Clubs Unite to Build Lynnwood Neighborhood Center Playground

The Rotary Club of Lynnwood is the lead Club in an ongoing District Grant for 3-4 years to fund the playground at the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center in Lynnwood, WA. The Rotary Club of Lynnwood has committed to donate $5,000 per year from 2024 – 2027-2028 Rotary years. This past year, with our partner Clubs, Alderwood Terrace, Mill Creek, and Edmonds Daybreakers, we raised $24,000 that will go toward the groundbreaking of the playground area at the Center.

This year we hope to again, with our former partner clubs, to add additional partner clubs AND PERSONAL DONATIONS and be once again granted a District Grant. This year the grant dollars will go toward playground equipment. *We are asking that we receive a letter of commitment for $1,000 from our former partner clubs, and we would love to have as many District 5030 clubs as possible join us, as well, in this worthy effort. The Lynnwood Neighborhood Center is a joint partnership with Trinity Lutheran Church and Schools, who leased their land to VOAWW for $1.00 per year for 50 years and is renewable, and Volunteers of America Western Washington. Personal donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE and can be made out to: Lynnwood Rotary Community Foundation, PO Box 1021, Lynnwood, WA 98046. *PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DONATION IS FOR THE LYNNWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER PLAYGROUND.

Take an online tour of the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center with Rick Steves, who is a member of Trinity Lutheran and has been a member of the steering and visioning committee for many years for this project. They found the perfect partnership for this vision with Volunteers of America Western Washington.  https://www.voaww.org/lnc

*The Center is scheduled to open in January 2026 and is projected to serve 20,000 people per year. It is a much needed facility and a game changer for South Snohomish County.
