Rotary District 5030 Night at the Mariners Game

On a sunny August 2nd, seventy-one Rotarians and guests from 17 Rotary District 5030 Clubs gathered at T-Mobile Park, providing the perfect boost for the Seattle Mariners. The day started with excitement as Victor Robles sent the first pitch he saw over the left field wall, giving the Mariners an early 1-0 lead in the first inning.

The excitement continued in the second inning when Luke Raley and Justin Turner took the game to the next level. Raley hammered a three-run homer into the third deck in right field, and Turner followed with a grand slam, sending the ball soaring into left field. By the end of the second inning, the score was a commanding 8-0, and the Mariners cruised to a 10-2 victory.

The evening was capped off with a spectacular drone show that left the crowd in awe. Highlights of the show included formations featuring the Mariner Moose, the iconic Elephant Car Wash sign, and appearances from the Big Dumper and the Space Needle.

This event was not only a thrilling game and fantastic show but also a great opportunity to promote Rotary, especially since this month’s Rotary theme is Membership. The presence of so many Rotarians in the community highlighted the organization’s commitment to fellowship and service, providing an excellent platform to showcase the impactful work Rotary does both locally and globally. It also served as a reminder of the importance of growing and engaging Rotary membership to strengthen our ability to make a difference.

It was a memorable night filled with camaraderie, great baseball, and spectacular entertainment, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Rotary District 5030.
