Unite to Light is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable and reliable solar lights and chargers to people living without electricity around the world. Our mission is to provide low cost solar lighting and energy to people living without electricity to improve global health, education, prosperity, and fight climate change. Through our innovative solar products, we aim to brighten the lives of those living in darkness. Unite to Light has already successfully partnered with numerous Rotary Clubs and are looking to expand these partnerships. See our Rotary webpage here.
I am aware of the incredible work that District 5030’s clubs has been doing to serve communities locally and globally. District 5030’s clubs commitment to humanitarian projects aligns perfectly with the goals of Unite to Light. By partnering together, we can amplify our impact and bring light to even more underserved areas.
The importance of access to reliable lighting and power cannot be overstated. In many parts of the world, millions of people rely on dangerous and expensive sources of light such as kerosene lamps, candles, or diesel generators. These alternatives not only pose health and safety risks but also contribute to environmental degradation. Solar lights and chargers offer a clean, sustainable, and cost-effective solution, improving the quality of life for individuals and families while protecting the environment.
A partnership between Rotary and Unite to Light could lead to meaningful projects that make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Whether it’s distributing solar lights to remote villages, supporting educational initiatives, or empowering entrepreneurs with access to solar power, there are numerous opportunities for collaboration.
