Kay Cook:  Service and Strength as our DACdb Guru

Kay Cook:  Service and Strength as our DACdb Guru

For years, Rotarians across District 5030 have turned to one name when they needed help navigating DACdb:  Kay Cook.  Whether it is onboarding new club officers, leading district-wide trainings, or quietly correcting data glitches behind the scenes, Kay is the heart and soul of our district’s communications infrastructure.

More than a technical resource, Kay is a patient teacher, a steady guide, and a generous Rotarian who always leads with kindness, humility, and humor.  Her commitment to excellence has elevated our district’s ability to function effectively and has empowered countless club leaders to better serve their communities.

Kay recently shared that she is experiencing a medical issue that requires an extended treatment program.  In true Kay fashion, she remains upbeat, witty, and sharply focused on completing the current DACdb updates to support a smooth transition to the 2025-26 Rotary year.  That’s just who she is.

Kay has not stepped down yet; however, she’s told us that the time has come to locate a successor who like she, enjoys the details of understanding a database and helping others to use it efficiently.

As we begin this transition in leadership, Kay intends to be available to help train and to be a resource and mentor for her successor.  The District intends to honor Kay’s request to find a successor with a spirit of care and dedication who will continue the work she champions.

We send Kay our deepest well wishes for healing and strength.

Seeking the Next DACdb Support Lead
