If you played an orchestra or band instrument in school, you know it was a memorable and meaningful experience. Benefits include fun, healthy relationships with peers and adults; stronger math, science, history, and world language skills; and building an arts-rich community. That’s why the Rotary Club of West Seattle, in partnership with KeyBank, is collecting lovingly used orchestra and band instruments for Music4Life.
Music4Life is a local nonprofit organization that puts instruments into the hands of students whose families cannot afford to rent or purchase, making it possible for them to participate in school music programs. Music4Life accepts all kinds of orchestra and band instruments, as well as guitars. Currently, trumpets, clarinets, flutes, and violins are needed most. Music4Life rarely turns down a gently used instrument.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, bring your instrument donation(s) to Key Bank at the corner of California Ave SW & SW Alaska St. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. If you need to donate a different way, e-mail us for options: ws_rotary@yahoo.com
