Washington ranks 23rd for physicians per capita in the U.S., with fewer physicians per capita than the national average. (American Association of Medical Colleges, 2024). Bellevue Sunrise Rotary is partnering with the WSU College of Medicine, Washington’s Champion for student success, education excellence and career readiness. The goal is to help reduce the shortage of physicians in vast areas of the state through the Rotary Scholarship in Medicine that has been established at the Washington State University (WSU) Foundation.
