BBRC has been busy!

The Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club has been busy in the first half of this Rotary year.

Several of our members have just returned from Antigua after 13 days installing Wi-Fi networks and other IT equipment in schools across the island as part of the “Improving Education Through Technology” project, a Rotary International initiative.  This is the 17th consecutive year that BBRC has led this trip, which included 16 students from Newport High School and members from BBRC, Bellevue Eastside, and Kirkland Rotary clubs, as well as the Rotary Clubs of Antigua.

This past month, two BBRC members visited Colombia to close out two freshwater projects there.

Locally, BBRC continues to provide groceries each week for 10 families through Jubilee Reach.  Each month, a group of BBRC’ers makes dinner for 30+ people at the Salvation Army.

Our speaker list continues to educate and inspire us.  Recently, we have had speakers from the Seattle Seahawks, the Gates Foundation, the CEO of Evergreen Hospital, and many more.

We celebrated BBRC’s 40th anniversary in November 2025 with a rousing an well attended gala at the Bellevue Hilton.  It gave all of our members a chance to reflect on the impact the club has had in our community and around the world over the past half-decade.

Finally, all of our efforts now turn to our signature fundraising event: All in for Autism 5K run/walk, on Sunday, April 26, 2026.  For the 18th consecutive year, we will host over 1,500 runners and walkers, together with our corporate sponsors, who help us raise over $150,000 to benefit organizations that assist families whose members are on the autism spectrum.  More information and registration can be found here:  allinforautism.org
