The proposed resolutions for the 2026 Council on Resolutions (COR) have now been published, and the commenting period is open. I am sharing this information to ensure that our District 5030 leadership has an opportunity to review the proposals and provide input that will inform our district’s voting decisions.
You can review the published resolutions here: 2026 Council on Resolutions: Proposed Resolutions. The Rules of Procedure are also available for reference.
District 5030 Feedback and Timeline
As your district’s COR Representative, I would appreciate receiving your perspectives on the resolutions, including any concerns, supporting arguments, or implications for our clubs and the wider Rotary community.
Please send your feedback directly to me, Kaj Pedersen, District 5030 COR Representative, by 12 October 2026, and copy Cathy Gibson, COR Alternate, on your response. This will give Cathy and me time to consolidate the input received and ensure your perspectives are considered as we determine our district’s voting positions.
Please identify the specific resolution number and title in your response, along with your reasoning and any recommendations. Where possible, please distinguish between resolutions you support, those you oppose, and those on which you have concerns or would like further discussion.
Official COR Commenting Period: 1–8 October
The formal commenting process is limited to eligible Council members, including district representatives. Members may comment on up to three resolutions through their personalized submission link.
Each comment is limited to 500 characters and must provide a substantive explanation. Comments are final once submitted, and even unpublished comments count toward the three-comment limit. Comments do not require district approval and represent the individual member’s views.
Although the formal commenting process is restricted to eligible Council members, all Rotarians are encouraged to review the resolutions and share their perspectives with their district representative. Your input will help inform the representative’s assessment of the issues.
Voting Timeline
- 1–8 October: Official COR commenting period.
- By 12 October: Please send your feedback to me, copying Cathy Gibson, so we can incorporate district leadership perspectives into our deliberations.
- 15 October: Official voting opens. Representatives will receive a separate email with a link to the ballot, including the resolutions and published comments.

Thank you for taking the time to review these resolutions and share your views. Our objective is to make informed voting decisions that reflect the perspectives, values, and interests of Rotary District 5030, while recognizing that some resolutions may require careful consideration of their broader implications for Rotary International and our clubs.
