Hunger Strike is back—and Rotary District 5030 is gearing up for our most ambitious year yet.
Building on the success of previous years, Hunger Strike 2025 brings new tools, exciting opportunities for clubs, and a public image boost that will help raise awareness, engage your community, and grow your membership—all while raising critical funds to fight hunger.

What’s New This Year?
Expanded Event Options
In addition to Bowling for Dollars and LIVE Jeopardy, this year’s campaign encourages clubs to design and host their own events. Whether it’s a walk-a-thon, cornhole tournament, community dinner, or trivia night, clubs now have the flexibility to create something unique and engaging for their members and community.
Fundraising Through Impact Marketplaces
Every participating club will receive its own Impact Marketplace—an online storefront featuring curated products and more than 400 national brand gift cards. A percentage of each purchase supports your Hunger Strike fundraising efforts. Contributions made through your club’s Marketplace between June 16 and November 3 will be credited toward your total raised.
Early Team Formation
Clubs will be able to access their Hunger Strike fundraising pages and begin forming teams starting June 16. This gives plenty of time to engage members, rally community support, and prepare for the official fundraising kickoff on October 1.
Major Public Image Opportunities
This year’s campaign includes professionally produced 60-second Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for every participating club. Voiced by national TV and radio host Gill Gross, each PSA will spotlight your club’s participation in Hunger Strike and can be shared with local radio stations, social media, and more.
A district-wide PSA will also air on major radio stations, directing listeners to support their local Rotary club’s Hunger Strike efforts by forming teams and donating to the cause.
A Powerful Membership Moment
Hunger Strike 2025 is not just a fundraiser—it’s an opportunity to showcase Rotary’s impact and invite new members into service. Clubs are encouraged to use this platform to increase visibility, engage prospective members, and strengthen community relationships.
Key Dates to Remember
June 16 – Fundraising pages go live, team formation begins, and clubs can start promoting their Impact Marketplace
