Harvest Against Hunger Cucumber and Green Bean Glean

Date: Sunday, August 13 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Location: Chinook Farms/Food Bank Farm in Snohomish, WA  10601 Elliot Road, Snohomish, WA

Join Harvest Against Hunger and Rotarians from across District 5030 to help glean fresh, healthy produce for our local community. HAH and our friends at Food Bank Farm in Snohomish, WA have 35 spaces available for Rotarians to join in a gleand

These are Rain or Shine events.  Please sign up only if you are willing and able to work in the pouring rain of the Pacific Northwest.

Keeping Safe: Work is outside and masks are not required. We have plenty of space for groups to spread out in the fields. But, if you are not vaccinated, we recommend wearing a mask.

When:  Harvests will begin in August and run through February/March. We have planting/transplanting work in the Spring and Summer.

What to Bring:  Water, Work Gloves, Boots for the mud/dirt, Layers for AM work, sunscreen/rain gear as appropriate

  • Dress for weather, and itchy-scratchy field conditions.  The weeds are 6 feet tall in places.  No open-toe shoes.  Wear gloves - light duty gardening gloves are better than chunky leather gloves.
  • BYOB. There is no drinking water at the farm. Plan to bring your water out to the field with you. We may be a distance from the parking area.
  • We do have a clean porta potty.

We'll have plenty of time in the fields, so start time is arrival time.
